Why spend your time making ho-hum art when you can swing open the door to paintings that sing? Invigorate and speed up your painting growth with this five session class, where there will be plenty of time for painting from photo reference and life. A part of each class will include simple but effective exercises that explore the foundational concepts of how to make a better painting...and do it more easily. Paint application, color relationships, shape and value design, being 'painterly', a study of contemporary painters' techniques and more will be studied, and in one session we will work from a live model. Open to anyone working in oil, acrylic, gouache or pastel, who has a basic familiarity of their medium. If you are new to painting, the instructor is available for special pre-class instruction.
